DAWSONVILLE, GA., December 16, 2016 – Skip Barber Racing School is pleased to announce its new Learning Center at Atlanta Motorsports Park (“AMP”) in Dawsonville, Georgia. The state of the art facilities at Atlanta Motorsports Park highly complement the race track which was recently voted one of the Top Ten tracks in North America. AMP was designed by famed Formula One circuit architect, Hermann Tilke who created the two-mile road course with 16 turns and 98 feet of elevation changes – not to mention a new clubhouse, skid pad, ice hill and karting track.

This initiative allows Skip Barber Racing School the opportunity to consolidate operations for its racing and driving school programming at Atlanta Motorsports Park in 2017. While Atlanta Motorsports Park will be a cornerstone for its business activities in 2017, Skip Barber Racing will continue to visit other iconic tracks in 2017 as it has for 41 years.

“Atlanta Motorsports Park offers one of the best environments for teaching and is a good partner for Skip Barber Racing School” says Michael Culver, CEO of Skip Barber Racing School. “The facilities are state of the art. The track offers challenge and potential for skill development for racers of all levels. Further, AMP provides Skip Barber Racing School the opportunity to more substantially grow its corporate and private events business.”

Jeremy Porter, CEO of AMP states “We believe that our innovative business model will align well with Skip Barber Racing School’s iconic brand. We are excited to work in partnership to grow the next generation of racers and motor sports enthusiasts.”

This move to Atlanta Motorsports Park allows Skip Barber Racing School the opportunity to continue to headquarter the company in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area. In addition to hosting its school dates at AMP, the Skip Barber Winter Race Series will visit Atlanta Motorsports Park for Rounds 4, 5 & 6 below:

February 16, 2017 – Lapping

February 17, 2017 – Practice 1, Practice 2 and Qualifying
