As we wrap up another thrilling year at Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP), we’re excited to reflect on the remarkable milestones and successes that defined 2024. This year has been one of growth, innovation, and collaboration, pushing the boundaries of what our team and community can achieve together. From groundbreaking facility upgrades to record-breaking events, here’s our year in review.

Racing Toward Excellence

  • 168 Participants in Club Karting Series: AMP kicked off the year with its largest karting race, welcoming 160 participants to the opening race of the season. This solidified AMP’s position among the top three tracks in North America for kart club race attendance.
  • Night Karting Grand Opening: Night racing was taken to the next level with the debut of AMP’s advanced Musco energy-efficient LED lighting system. Drivers and spectators raved about the electrifying atmosphere and unparalleled nighttime racing experience.
  • SCCA SARRC Race Debut: AMP proudly hosted its first-ever SCCA Southeast Division SARRC race, attracting competitive racers and establishing AMP as a top-tier destination for the motorsports racing community.
  • Return of Legends and Bandoleros to the Car Race Track: In a nostalgic and thrilling move, Legends and Bandoleros racing returned to AMP’s car road track, offering a unique showcase of talent and tradition on the track.
  • Karts on the Car Track: Kart racers experienced the adrenaline of road racing on AMP’s iconic car track, taking the excitement of kart racing to new heights.
  • AMP’s AutoX and Time Attack Growth: Rain or shine, the passion for AMP’s AutoX and Time Attack shone through. These events continued to see strong participation, with dedicated drivers refining their craft every run. 

 

Facility Enhancements and Sustainability Efforts

2024 saw a range of impressive upgrades and additions that further elevated AMP’s world-class status:

  • Jumbotrons: Two new Jumbotrons were installed along the car and kart track front straight, offering dynamic displays that elevate the spectator experience and provide real-time race updates.
  • F1-Style Start/Finish Lights: Both the road course and kart track received F1-style start/finish lights, which added a professional touch and ensured greater visibility during races.
  • 762 Panel Solar Array Completion: A new solar array was installed, the largest in 3 counties per Amicolia EMC. It offset $68,000 in energy costs and gained attention from hundreds of publications for its contribution to green energy solutions.
  • Asphalt Preserving Excellence: The engineering team worked tirelessly in the summer heat to ensure the track surface remained in top condition for racing.
    • Improved Safety and Longevity: The track crack jetting efforts significantly enhanced safety for all drivers and extended the track’s lifespan, further reinforcing AMP’s standing as a world-class motorsports facility.
  • New Maintenance Equipment: AMP’s track engineering team expanded its fleet with four new Bobcat UV34s, a New F360 Fire Truck, a new F150 Quick Attack Truck, a new Takeuchi TLBR2 skid steer, and a TB230 mini excavator. These additions enhance the team’s ability to maintain the track, complete projects more efficiently, and ensure facilities operate at peak performance.
  • New Fleet of Sodi Rental Karts: AMP introduced a new fleet of state-of-the-art Sodi rental karts, offering enhanced performance, safety, and fun for racers of all skill levels.
  • New Kart Run-Offs: The kart track now features expanded paved run-off areas, improving safety and creating a more forgiving environment for drivers pushing their limits.

 

Residential Development: Motor Club Circuit Villas

2024 marked the next chapter in AMP’s evolution with the launch of Phase 4 of the Motor Club Circuit Villas, which sold $8.4m in villas in 16 days! This exclusive residential community is tailored for motorsport enthusiasts who desire the ultimate trackside lifestyle.

  • Your Dream Motorsport Lifestyle: These luxurious, move-in-ready villas combine modern architecture with state-of-the-art features, offering a perfect haven for those passionate about speed and performance.
  • Unmatched Features: Each villa offers top-tier features, including stunning views of the race tracks and surrounding landscapes and modern, ultra-high-end interiors and exteriors. 
  • The Heart of the Motorsport Community: Living in the Circuit Villas means becoming part of a vibrant and like-minded community. Residents enjoy a front-row seat to motorsport action while sharing their passion with neighbors who value performance, innovation, camaraderie, or as a short-term rental investment. 

 

Community and Member Engagement

AMP continued to foster a thriving community in 2024 with events that celebrated shared passions and the motorsport lifestyle:

  • Social Events: From Saturday Socials to Track Walks, in-home parties, and Trivia Nights, AMP created countless opportunities for members to connect, relax, and enjoy the motorsport lifestyle.
  • Ride to Remember by Ferrari of Atlanta: This cherished event returned to AMP in 2024, showcasing stunning Ferraris and other exotic cars while supporting an incredible cause.
  • AMP’d Up Event: A true highlight of the year, this signature event drew over 1,000 participants and spectators. Featuring motorsport demonstrations, community engagement activities, and thrilling entertainment, AMP’d Up underscored AMP’s position as a hub for motorsport enthusiasts and local connections.
  • Women’s Day Revival: AMP continued its commitment to inclusivity and empowerment with a revitalized Women’s Day in September. Female members took the lead, guiding sessions and inspiring a new generation of racers while fostering support and enthusiasm for women in motorsports.
  • Halloween Event: AMP hosted a fun-filled Halloween event featuring Pumpkin Chunkin to benefit a local charity, blending festive fun with community giving.
  • Breakfast with Santa: Families came together at AMP to enjoy a magical holiday event featuring Breakfast with Santa, creating lasting memories for attendees of all ages.
  • Showcasing AMP at Avalon and Petit Le Mans: AMP proudly presented at both Avalon and Petit Le Mans, introducing new audiences to the world-class facilities and unique motorsport experiences AMP offers.

 

Membership Milestones and Leadership Changes

2024 saw AMP reaching new heights in membership demand and organizational growth:

  • Tungsten Membership Sold Out: Due to overwhelming demand, AMP’s exclusive Tungsten Membership sold out, and a waiting list was established, showcasing the immense appeal of AMP’s offerings. We have moved to invite and sponsorship only for new members.
  • Restructuring of the Executive Team: This year brought significant changes to AMP’s leadership, including the addition of a new VP of Operations, Scott Renner, a comprehensive restructuring of the Finance Department, including new CPA, Insurance Broker, 401k Program, Payroll Services, a new Controller, Angela Harbin, and a new HR lead with adding Dawn Phillips. In further iterations, we added a full-time IT Director with Kyle Durant, a new Director of Sales, Britney Nash, promotion of Rosalee Gaddis to Director of Marketing, and Promotion of Eli Bearden to GM of the Kart Complex. These strategic updates underscore AMP’s commitment to excellence and position the organization for continued success and growth in the years ahead.

As we celebrate the successes of 2024, we’re already preparing for an even brighter future in 2025. With the Motor Club Circuit Villas, Night Karting, adding the most extensive solar array in three counties, a new fleet of Sodi rental karts, and cutting-edge facility enhancements like F1-style lights and Jumbotrons, AMP is set to continue leading the way in motorsports excellence. Atlanta Motorsports Park (AMP) is the first green, sustainable motorsports country club for high-performance cars, motorcycles, and karts. In addition to providing a driver’s haven for its members, Atlanta Motorsports Park offers private track rentals, corporate group options, and the world’s most unique kart track.
