Fresh off his win at Kansas Speedway, Chase Elliott stopped by AMP Kart Racing for an event hosted by his main sponsor Mountain Dew. The event was put on so that fans of the #9 Chevrolet could have a chance to “chase Chase” on a race track. Chase got his first win in NASCAR’s highest division this year at Watkins Glen, so it was only fitting that he raced his fans on a road course.
After the event was finished, there was just enough daylight for one more race, and Chase was really eager for some fair competition, so he challenged the AMP staff to a race. As expected, Chase smashed the entire team, but much fun was had, and it was a good way for our staff to cap off a very busy summer season. Chase is still in the hunt for a Cup title, currently running 4th place with 4 races to go, so we are very grateful he took time out of his busy schedule to race with us.
